Postdoc position studying Gene expression dynamics at the University of Manchester

A postdoctoral research associate position at the University of Manchester is available to study how gene expression dynamics control cell fate decisions during development, using the Drosophila embryo as a model.  This project will use a combination of cutting-edge live imaging, single molecule FISH and CRISPR genome editing approaches to study and perturb gene expression dynamics.  The successful applicant will join a team of experimental and computational biologists, led by Professors Hilary Ashe and Magnus Rattray, which is funded by a Wellcome Trust programme investigating spatiotemporal gene expression dynamics at single-cell resolution (e.g. Vinter et al, Dev 2021; Hoppe et al, Dev Cell 2020; Bowles et al, biorxiv 2020).  For further details of research within the Ashe lab, see: http://ashelab.com/.  Informal enquiries should be made to Hilary Ashe.  The closing date for applications is 07/06/2021.
