Interest to Host MSCA Postdoctoral Fellows at CIBIO, University of Trento
I am interested in hosting a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Postdoctoral Fellows at CIBIO – Centre for Integrative Biology, University of Trento, in ITALY. I am looking for candidates with a strong background in the mechanisms controlling growth and ribosomal function, whose expertise will complement my ongoing research on the role of Myc in regulating ribosomal biogenesis and translation in flies. In addition, novel aspects can be considered that may fit the vivid research background ongoing here at CIBIO.
Our institute is the first ranking University in the middle range pool in Italy, with our Department considered one of the 180 centers of excellence in Italy for the Ministry of Education. Indeed offers state-of-the-art research facilities and a stimulating interdisciplinary environment, making it an ideal place to advance cellular and molecular biology research. I am dedicated to supporting MSCA fellows in achieving their research goals and establishing themselves as independent researchers.
Why Choose CIBIO? https://www.cibio.unitn.it/
At CIBIO, I offer:
- Advanced Research Facilities: Our laboratories are equipped with cutting-edge technologies and specialized tools for handling Drosophila and studying cell biology, molecular biology, and ribosome function, providing an optimal setting for high-quality research.
- Expert Supervision and Mentorship: As your mentor, I will guide and support your research on Myc, cell competition, and the control of ribosomal biogenesis and translation, specifically using Drosophila (flies) as a model. I am committed to fostering your growth in research and career development.
- Opportunities for Independent Research: I encourage fellows to develop their research agendas and explore independent funding opportunities, helping them establish a strong foundation for a successful independent career.
- Career Development Programs: CIBIO provides various training initiatives, including workshops on advanced techniques, grant writing, project management, and leadership, as well as opportunities for international collaborations and conferences. We had four recipients of MSCA, all with the possibility of a career afterward.
- Interdisciplinary and Collaborative Environment: Our extensive network of research collaborations will allow you to engage with experts in complementary fields and gain valuable experience in interdisciplinary and collaborative research.
