Technician position in the Moore lab, Tokyo, Japan

In our laboratory, we study the regulatory control of neuron differentiation. We are looking for a technical staff to support projects in one or both of two model systems:

1) Using the development of Drosophila neurons as a model.
2) Using human cortical neural precursor and neuron culture as models.

In addition, the technical staff will take on laboratory management roles including but not limited to reagent and animal management, documentation, liaising with external vendors, and working with RIKEN administrative officers to achieve the safe and smooth running of the laboratory.

We will carefully consider applications from an experienced researcher with a strong molecular biology, animal handling, and genetics background and effective working practices or from a recent graduate with great promise.

Our laboratory is diverse and multicultural. We value open communication, collaboration, teamwork, and efficient productivity. The scientific language of our laboratory is English. Additionally, staff members who speak Japanese as a primary language are comfortable with Japanese conversations happening at various levels. Japanese proficiency is required for this position.
